Extreme makeover

The painting was started looked like this.

This is the same painting, it looks totally different.

Well, oil painting can manage to do this.

After paint on it again and correct the mistake,

the painting looks more 3 dimension feel.

Before Chinese New Year

Around the time 30 minutes to midnight, the Chinese New Year.

A bird fly into my room through the open window.

And it can not fly out of my room.

I never thought I actually can catch a bird just grabbing it with my hand.

The bird will fly away from me when come close to it,

but still can't fly out of the room.

This is done by light off, and the use of touchlight.

It seem have a poor eyesight in the dark.

It is a honey bird, I free the bird afterward.

Umm... can it see in the dark night ?

The bird was so frighten.

Maybe is because of the fireworks ?

Adding still life in portrait

What I saw this kind of painting is some kind of design on the portrait,

Things add on the background actually can do it afterward (design).

I paint these in the same time,

It looks good but I think the design is quite poor.

Portraits

When I start to paint others than family member, I paint a little girl.

Actually the most difficult on portrait is to paint a child, kids just can't sit tight.

Well, I still manage to finish the painting.

My teacher said to paint a child, probably need to have TV for them to watch.

That I realize is not easy to paint a girl.

Actually I not satisfy with this work.

When painting from stage 1 to stage 3, the painting still don't looks like the person.

After finish the painting, it really looks alike.

Maybe just like they said, after draw the spectacle, it looks alike.

This is my cousin, a cute girl.

The painting looks different, a serious look.

Actually I am struggling to paint her, just don't understand why she is so difficult to paint?

Well, If I not wrong, she still recognize the portrait is her.

This is my uncle.

He is watching TV when I paint his portrait, got changes of emotion in the process.

Family Portrait

This is my father.

As the painting method I using, suppose so it can make the person in painting looks younger.

Well, my father still strong and healthy.

This is my mother.

As I grow up, she nag on me more frequent untill start a fight.

Well, she still can't accept my personality.

This is my brother, still single.

As I refer him as not the lucky man.

Maybe we should get rid of "being lucky guy" theory, then things will go on.

This portrait is done by most part by me, the correcting and final touch up by my teacher.

What make the portrait painting so good, probably there llie a secret of the master's skill in final touch up?

For what I see in it, that I looks younger in this painting.

But my teacher and elder said in the painting I looks older.

Amatuer stuff

In beginning, I use a camera stand and a book stand tie together become a drawing stand.

At the window, actually I hang some blankets to cover the light.

There add a multi spot hang on the window,

the purpose of the spotlight is to have bright side and dark side show on the face.

The light bulb is the coil type, energy saver 24w, I think is a bit weak.

I draw on a piece of paper use for oil painting. Well, it looks good oil painting on it.
